Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace Marks Major Milestone for New Center in East Brunswick, New Jersey

Community members from all over the tri-state area gathered for a blissful afternoon celebrating a defining moment at the new center’s construction site

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — August 26, 2026 — The Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace (SVCWP), located in East Brunswick, New Jersey, celebrated a significant milestone this past weekend at their Topping-Up Ceremony, a commemoration that marked the placement of the last beam at the peak of the building. Community members of all ages came together with love and unity for the occasion, reflecting the intergenerational spirit of the upcoming center.

“The vision, planning, and hard work behind it are evident in every detail. It is more than a building, it is a testament to our faith, unity, peace, and perseverance.” said a community member who visited the site for the first time.

The center, which began construction in April of 2025, was inspired by Dada J.P. Vaswani, who envisioned SVCWP as a place where hearts would be healed, children empowered, and seekers nourished. The 20,000-square-foot campus will contain a prayer hall, classrooms for values-based education classes for children, a dining hall, yoga and meditation spaces, an eco-friendly peace park, and more. At its heart will be a Sacred Samadhi (Memorial) which, for the first time outside of India, will enshrine the ashes of both Sadhu Vaswani and Dada J.P. Vaswani, the visionary leaders of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission (SVM). As an extension of SVM, SVCWP will be a place of pilgrimage for people from around the world.

Saturday’s ceremony marked a pivotal milestone for community members who are eager to connect and serve in their new home. They gathered at the site to pray, inscribe their best wishes on the pillars, and learn about the significance of each space that will be part of the upcoming center. Several attendees remarked that if an in-progress site was filled with so much positivity that they didn’t want to leave, they can only imagine what a force for good the completed center will become.

The construction is expected to progress quickly, with walls enclosing the space over the next several weeks and a grand inauguration planned for next year. More information on the center and how to support its development and service initiatives can be found at www.sadhuvaswanicenter.com/about.
